Many of you have seen the Facebook post regarding my sweet friend Sophy and her husband Juan. If you have not, the post from their attorney can be viewed here:

I know that politics play a huge part in this unimaginable situation but I would like to put that aspect aside and focus on what is truly important: Juan, Sophy and their children. Humanity. Being a community that comes together to help good people in their time of need. Juan and Sophy are good people. GREAT people. They deserve all

the support and help we can give them.

Juan is the sole provider for their household. Sophy has been a stay-at-home mom (an incredible mother) to their children and now their world has been turned upside down. Sophy is expecting their third baby together and has had her husband suddenly ripped away from their family. She is processing this traumatic situation and trying to navigate her new, hopefully very temporary, normal. She is one of the strongest women I have ever met and is handling this with such bravery and grace but I know that the uncertainty has to be debilitating right now. The stress of this has to be horrific and not healthy for her and their baby. Sophy is not one to ask for help, she has only asked for prayers through all of this but I know we can do more. I will ask for help for her. We can make sure that Sophy and Juan know that they are seen, heard and loved. I need your help!

The community has been amazing today. I’ve been so proud to be a part of it, reading all the comments and seeing you all defend my friend and her family. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting her. I know she is absolutely overwhelmed and thankful for the response.
