Help! Protect Our Beloved Friend From Deportation

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. Someone we love deeply—our friend, our brother in faith—is currently being held in ICE detention. Unless we act quickly, he could be deported to a country where he faces imprisonment, severe persecution—or worse. This isn’t just about immigration—it’s about life, freedom, and justice.

If you know him, you know exactly his character. Quiet strength. Humble heart—holding on to faith in the middle of suffering. I’ve watched him go through many afflictions that would break most people, and yet he perseveres, hopeful, and focused on glorifying God in every way.

He once told me, “The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away—blessed be His name.” That’s not just something he says—it’s how he lives.

He’s the man who shows up for others, even when no one shows up for him. He’s never had much, but he’s always shared what little he had. He never complains. He listens. He prays for others. He lifts people up.

To lose him would break so many hearts. Our church family, our community, his friends, his loved ones—we are all grieving just at the thought of being separated from him.
