Jenny has been a great friend to my family since her son and mine were in preschool together. She is generous, smart, and kind and is always engaged in helping others.
Unfortunately she was in an accident April 1. She was luckily saved by our firefighters using the jaws of life. She was then rushed into emergency surgery to save her leg and get a titanium femur put in. She stayed in the ICU for about a week, and the hospital as a whole the entire month of April.
Amazingly, she has pulled through, but has a long time for recovery. Doctors estimate she will need to heal for 6-12 months.
All the muscles in her leg and body are adjusting to this new titanium rod. It causes incredible pressure on the stitches, muscles and tissues surrounding. Balance is not something you automatically have, and she sorely misses the ability to catch herself.
She is regularly exhausted by minor movements and every day tasks.
She cannot work, and may not for quite a while.
The car who hit her was entirely at fault, but the drivers were foreign, and their insurance coverage was minimal. She needs a lawyer to help with the long-term retrieval of a settlement.
In the meantime, she needs to rest and heal. This financial support will allow her to get situated in her new life, with the best possibility of healing.
Every dollar counts. If Jenny has ever offered you kindness, food, clothing, or even a listening empathetic ear, please donate to help her get on her feet again. (Literally!) She would do the same for you. Aloha!
