Support David Jones' Fight Against Cancer

I Cory Jones am creating this page on behalf of my father David Allen Jones. David has 2 children Amber Jones(Jewell) and Cory Jones, he has 2 grandchildren David was born and raised in Coleman,Michigan and has lived in Mount Pleasant, Michigan for the last 20 years. David was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in the lungs called neuroendocrine carcinoma and within a matter of months it is in the advanced stages and is spreading through his body and his lymph nodes.

I his son Cory Jones and my mother which is his significant other Lisa Haney am asking for help in finding assistance to help with numerous things like reliable transportation, funeral and memorial expenses, medication co-pay assistance, medical expenses, help with our bills, and generally just for help overall. This was completely unexpected and nobody in the family was ready for this.

My father David Allen Jones has been the provider for our family my whole life, kept us safe, secure, and has been the backbone of our existence since I was born. My father is a great man who takes his responsibilities and his family very seriously and can no longer do all of the things that he has done for so long. For years he made sacrifices for us and now it's our turn to do the same for him.

We found out the most devastating news of our lives on 08/28/2024, and that was that he has a severe form of cancer in the lungs. He was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, a form of lung cancer, and shortly after that, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, a tumor in his hip, and bone cancer as well. Upon diagnosis, it was only in his left lung and not in his lymph nodes, and he started chemo shortly after in hopes that he would have success and start to get his life and family he once knew back. After a few months of chemo, brain scans, and testing to monitor it, everything was coming back negative, and overall good news was all we heard. My father and the whole family were in high spirits, and after a trip to the emergency room on February 2, 2025, because he couldn't breathe, we found out that the cancer has doubled in size in a month's time from his last doctor's appointment and has spread into his lymph nodes and his right lung. The doctor told us that his cancer is now in an advanced stage, which is wording for stage 4 cancer and it's time for us to start preparing for his final arrangements and there is nothing he can do to help us or him.

My father is now set up on hospice and is starting to transition into comfort care, but during this whole time, his bills are adding up, he needs reliable transportation in case of an emergency, the vehicle he has had for many years now is no longer driveable due to a rusted out frame and some other issues, we all need help with his medical expenses, and his family needs assistance with funeral and burial expenses. His significant other Lisa needs assistance with keeping up with all the bills to the house by herself now as he was the financial provider for the family.
