Stand by Wendie: Overcoming Injury
Donation protected
This is my closest friend, Wendie. If you know her, you are better for it. Usually, high energy and ready to go, she also has a big heart and loves with all of it. She is usually fiercely independent, but recent circumstances require help. She’d give the shirt off her back if someone needs it.
This started with a car accident five years ago. Struggling through pain and traumatic brain injury, she required surgery for her injury. When she was cleared to go back to work, she did. And picked up right where she left off. Six months into her job, and things have changed. Her pain has become unbearable. Her body gives out when she is in bad pain. She can no longer do many of the things she used to. She is also facing another surgery.
All of this has taken her out of work again. Disability isn’t a given, and she is working through that part, which is just another frustration. Being out of work has put her home and her car in jeopardy. She has no back up plan, like many of us do not either.
Any money raised will be used for rent, car payment, and living expenses. The money will be deposited directly in her account. In this time of craziness, it is important to love each other and take care of each other. Let’s show Wendie that love and care.
