Stand by Walter: Healing After the Accident
Donation protected
Hello and firstly, thank you for taking the time to hear Walter Simoneau’s story. Walter is a hard working man with lots of friends and family. He is, personally, my step father, who has been around for many years. In total, he has 7 children and has loved my mother, Kelly Valequett, for 10+. Walter has worked in concrete for most of his life and supports all of us in any way he can. Financially, mentally and physically. He LOVES to fish in his free time and one day dreams to own a boat. His love for Ninja turtles is at an all time high right now. For anyone who knows him, his dark sense of humour will keep you laughing hysterically and on your toes!
Unfortunately, on Friday April 11th, on his way home from work, Walter got into an unexpected, major car crash and sustained many injuries that led him to get life flighted by helicopter to the nearest trauma center. His injuries included, but not limited to, a broken hip, 2 broken ribs, broken ankle and shattered foot all on his right side.
We all humbly ask that you join us to help support him in his long recovery ahead. Not only one, but multiple surgeries and extensive rehab to help gain some sort of control to get his normal life back. Expenses continue and he will be out of work which is something extremely foreign to Walter as he, as many of you know, struggles to stay still. Please help him worry a little less about getting back to work and focus more on getting better. We all just want to see him worry free right now and happy, as he usually is.
Please know that anything helps, whether a donation, a share or even kind words, thoughts and prayers. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope to keep everyone updated on this challenging journey before him.
** UPDATE ** April 15th.
Walter has gone through two surgeries so far and pending the next one. He is overwhelmed with happiness and joy and thanks every single person for reaching out, prayers, and donations. He is still in the hospital for a few days to heal from surgeries and off to rehab. He is without a phone but has had some close family visitors and was able to make some phone calls. He is in good spirits. He knows he has a long road to recovery ahead but every single one of you is making it a little more easier!! He has a great support system! Thank you all so much!!
