Help Virna Fight Stage 4 Cancer With Grace, Faith, & Dignity

Hello, my name is Virna Ronquillo, and I’ve recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 inoperable cervical cancer. I’m 59 years old, and right now, I’m facing the greatest fight of my life. I’m asking for help to cover medical costs, transportation, housing, and basic needs while I undergo treatment. I’ve always done my best to stand on my own—but now, I can’t do this alone.

My life has been shaped by hardship and resilience. When I was just two years old, my mother left me and my two older brothers with our father, who struggled with alcoholism. He did what he could, and we learned to grow up quickly. Life was never easy, but I’ve always tried to live with strength, love, and hope.

I’ve made my share of mistakes, like anyone, but I’ve also learned deep compassion. I’ve worked hard, cared for others, and tried to carry grace through difficult years. Just before my diagnosis, I was driving for Uber and pursuing my dream of making beautiful handmade purses—a quiet passion I hoped could become something real. Then, just when I thought I might finally catch my breath, this cancer changed everything.

The diagnosis came late. The cancer has spread and is considered inoperable. I’m receiving treatment to manage pain and extend my time—but the financial burden is overwhelming. I can’t work. I’m currently staying in a friend’s loft with my two animal companions—Fancy, my loyal Doberman, and Smoke, my gentle cat—doing the best I can to survive.

Your support will go directly toward:
  • Chemotherapy and medications
  • Transportation to appointments
  • Rent and basic utilities
  • Food and personal necessities
  • Care for Fancy and Smoke, who are my comfort and strength

I have a deep connection to God, and I believe He hasn’t brought me this far to leave me. Even in this dark valley, I am holding on to faith, to hope, and to the goodness of people.

Any help—no matter how small—will make a real difference. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing this page with others. Every prayer, every kind word, and every act of love helps me face what’s ahead with dignity.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for walking with me through this chapter of my life.

With all my heart,
Virna Ronquillo
