Hi, my name is Victor Duarte.
I was riding my scooter home on a Friday night in Miami when I was hit by a car. The driver didn’t stop. They left me lying in the street—broken, bleeding, and unconscious. I was left for dead.
When I woke up in the hospital, I was in shock. Both of my legs were broken. Both of my clavicles were dislocated. I had multiple fractures, internal injuries, and so much pain I could barely speak. I’ve already had surgery, and more may be needed.
My recovery is going to take months. I won’t be able to walk or work during that time. I’m trying to stay strong, but the medical bills, the stress, and the uncertainty are overwhelming.
I never thought I’d be in this position, but I’m asking for your help. If you can donate anything, even just a few dollars, it will help cover my hospital bills, therapy, and basic living expenses while I recover.
And if you can’t donate, please share my story.
From the bottom of my heart thank you. You’re helping me fight through the hardest chapter of my life.
