My name is Jim Doss. I usually don't do this type of stuff but my heart is telling me that I need to. I have a very dear friend and co-worker that is in desperate need of help. Her name is Vernice Hunter. She is the Custodial Foreman at Abingdon Elementary School. Vernice is one of those special people that gets along with everyone and brightens their day. She is a wonderful lady, hard working, dedicated, and a true friend to so many.

Approximately 2 months ago she had what she thought was an infected tooth. Unfortunately, it turned out to be CANCER. The last two months Vernice has suffered like no one should ever have to. The pain is unbearable and she's barely able to eat or drink. She has lost a tremendous amount of weight and a feeding tube will be put in in the near future. Vernice is unable to talk now and is so weak she can hardly walk.

Since her diagnosis she has used all her leave, has been 3 weeks without income and now is out of work indefinitely. Therefore I am asking for donations no matter how big or small , they will all be appreciated. Your donations will go to pay rent, food, monthly bills, travel expenses and medical bills.

If you can't donate your prayers and good thoughts are needed just as much.
