Update as of 02/19/2026. I had a pet scan that morning but was in so much pain, just excruciating pain laying on that table. I prayed the entire time I could do it without having to start and stop again.

I was suppose to wait 4 hours for the results but it was collectively decided that there was no way I could sit around that long. I went home and Scott came home, we did it via telemedicine.

Side not my previous scan was the very very last of November knowing I was preparing to lose my health insurance as my fmla was running out. I did get some insurance that was effective January 1st. They wanted me to have two more rounds of treatment before the scan to give it a chance to see if it was helping.

For reference when I got the results of Nov scan I had what the doctors called a tinsy tiny spot in the left side pelvic bone (I did radiation on that as well.

The results from last weeks scan were nothing we had prepared for. Extensive spread of the cancer throughout the musculoskeletal system, a new tumor in my abdomen, a new place on the ride of my neck. The oncologist is out of town right now so she has little more she was authorized to tell me. But she did say as soon as Dr is back I will have an appointment with him to go over things much for detail.

We are praying I will still qualify for the trial which then leads to a bone marrow transplant.

I promised my 9 year old daughter I would do whatever the Dr told me to do in order for me to be here longer for her. She didn’t ask to lose her Momma at such a young age, I will do whatever it takes to show her I’m not giving up. If you have any questions feel free to message me

thank you

Tonya

I’m Tonya, a 48-year-old mother to the most amazing 9-year-old ever.

In October of 2024, I was diagnosed with DLBCL (Double Hit Large B Cell Lymphoma). It is a very aggressive cancer. I have been going through chemotherapy ever since. I did 6 rounds of R-CHOP, which caused me to lose the feeling in my lower legs and feet due to extreme neuropathy. I thought I was done with chemotherapy, only to find out I have to do more. Now, I need more chemo in my spine. This cancer has a very high rate of getting into the central nervous system fluid and spreading to the brain.

We also learned the huge tumor in my cheek I started out with did not completely go away, so further biopsies are needed.

The reason for this fundraiser: I have been off work since October 2024, my FMLA has run out, so my employer will no longer be paying their portion of the premium. It all falls on me. I cannot lose my health insurance.

Your help is so greatly appreciated. I’ve never been good at asking for help.

I have never done a Go Fund Me before. I am not good at asking for help. All donations help if you can’t donate then share and encourage others to as well.

I know I’m not trending in the news, I’m not a famous athlete or some young hottie. But I am a Mother to you a young beautiful little girl that deserves having her Mom on this earth for long as possible and I promised her from day one I would do everything within m power, that my Doctors asked of me so that I could be here for her.

Cancer changes you, it strips away your dignity, your body fails you at every turn, you are reminded of what’s important and you don’t recognize the person who looks back at you in the mirror. The toll fighting cancer takes on ever aspect of your mind and body.
