Stand by Tom and Employees After Disaster
Donation protected
On August 10 my families lives were altered forever. Their family business Milwaukee Truck Service, had succumbed to the Menominee river in Wauwatosa, Wi. After what Wisconsin has called 1 in 1,000 year flood.
Their business was under almost 5 feet of water in an area that was zoned a no flood zone. Sadly, because of this, flood insurance wasn’t acquired or required and their current insurance refuses to pay for anything. We are working hard to obtain any help possible with the hope that FEMA might be deployed, however until then, my families only income has halted which leaves my parents Tom and Lynn and my sister Brittiny out of immediate options to carry the heavy load of rebuilding hopefully. This is also in addition to affecting the businesses 7 employees and their families. Mortgages, utilities, food, basic needs and rebuilding unfortunately aren’t free and I am trying everything to help not only family but my families businesses employees find some footing during this turbulent and devastating time.
My hope is that this story reaches a wide audience who may be able to offer some help.
I can say my father has always given his shirt off his back and last dime to those who needed it more than him, supported his local veterans for their service in memory of my grandfather and in appreciation for protecting our country. He’s organized benefits for those hit hard by life over the years and raised money for the wounded warrior project and at the end of the day just done without.
Now I can honestly say my dad, his family, his business and most importantly his employees are in need of some help and I’d like to try to extend the kindness and care he’s given over the years.
It is devastating to watch your family suffer and not know how to help them and praying for a miracle. But I am hoping by exploring this outlet, we can provide a glimmer of hope and support to my parents Tom, Lynn, my sister, Brittiny, and Milwaukee Truck Service.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for considering supporting them as they rebuild.
Disclaimer, video of river is not my own. This was captured by a friend.
