Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Theresa Dekoekkoek and I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in January of 2025. My life, to say the least, has been a nightmare ever since.

My endocrinologist prescribed the very popular drug Ozempic to regulate my blood sugar levels. Unfortunately, that drug has wreaked havoc on my body. I stopped taking it 8 weeks ago, but the symptoms continue. I haven't had a full meal without throwing up in 4 months. I'm only up for a max of 5 hours a day. I'm weak, tired, and in pain most days. My endocrinologist says it is not the Ozempic, while my primary care, gastro, and ER doctors say it truly is.

I'm starting this page to help with medicines and medical costs, as Medicaid doesn’t cover much and it's hard to work harder because of my health. Any help would be much appreciated.
