Over the weekend, the eldest Saiz son (pictured above) was in a tragic wrong place, wrong time event. He sustained a gunshot wound to the neck, which wounded the spinal cord and ricocheted to the lung, which then collapsed. He was stabilized and air-lifted to Lubbock the same night.

His mother and siblings also traveled to Lubbock where his first surgery went well. He is also now able to breathe on his own again. However, the true extent of his injuries is still unknown, and he may be paralyzed from this incident. Obviously, the family is unable to attend work at this time and could greatly use any help. Basics like food, utilities, gas, and hotel room costs will begin to pile up. Additionally, this young man is not out of the woods yet and will need much more medical care, and perhaps even physical therapy. Even a few dollars here and there can help this family in need.
