Help the James Family in their time of Need

Please help the James Family in their time of need.

Thomas James is my coworker at OMC and in the short time that I have known him, he is the epiphany of true kindness and selflessness. He is a wonderful loving father. Thomas and his husband Noelle who had no children of their own and were married 28 years at the time, took Alexis in at one years old when a family member who was struggling with drug addiction could not care for their child. Then, they had a second child Avery who they also could not care for. Once again, this loving couple took another baby in because they did not want to separate the sisters or have them go into foster care. They didn’t care if they could afford it or not. They only cared for the wellbeing of the children. Eventually, they adopted both girls legally and made a loving home for them. They are wonderful parents to these girls and have given them so much love.

Noelle now (59) was a dog groomer for 18 years. Thomas worked in NYU for 24 years before he came to our Ocean Medical Center Family.

In 2023, Noelle battled colon cancer which he beat. In 2024, he was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. He has been battling this cancer and it has affected the family financially and emotionally. Now, the cancer has spread to other organs including the pancreas and stomach. Alexis is in first grade at Lanes Mill Elementary School in Brick, NJ and Avery is 5 years old. Now, Thomas is the sole provider. He has been in and out of work taking care of Noelle as well as taking him to radiation and chemo; while juggling parenting the girls. I honestly don’t know where he gets his strength. Today, May 1st, a hospice bed will be delivered for Noelle as we enter the next stage. I am asking if you can find it in your heart to donate to this wonderful family to help them alleviate this hardship. Anyone that knows this family knows how loving and selfless they are. It is an honor to know this man and he deserves help in his time of need.
