On Jan 14, 2025, John Arita, aged 69, beloved son, husband, stepdad, uncle, and loving brother, passed away suddenly. He died from pancreatic cancer that spread to his spine, liver, and kidneys. His cancer was not detected until the day before he died.

He is survived by his wife Rose, children John Michael, Mark, Aaron, Turi, grandchildren, and fur baby Lady. He was loved by so many as he touched many people’s lives. He was loved by the community.

He served the SF Sheriff's Dept for 30 years and retired. He was a prime example of a deputy.

His unexpected passing has left the family off guard with no financial resources to help with his burial and funeral expenses. We are kindly asking for any donations. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
