Tanner Joe is 6 years old. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which is essentially half of a heart. He had his third open-heart surgery on April 23rd. He did well with surgery, but has had multiple complications post-op, meaning that the stay has been so much longer than we ever anticipated. There is still no end in sight. We did not plan for this and we have not been able to go back to work. Tanner will not let mom/dad out of his sight since he is 6 and knows what is going on.
