Our dear friend Steve is currently in the hospital facing heart issues. What began as discomfort quickly escalated into an urgent medical crisis, resulting in at least a 2 week hospitalization along with multiple tests while doctor's try to find out where the problem lies and how serious it may be. For now, all we really know is that there is an obstruction of the outflow of his heart. He is booked for a TEE test next week and an angiogram to follow. Doctor's want to keep him under observation until these tests can be completed and they can get a clearer picture of what is going on.

This unexpected turn has left Steve unable to work (obviously), with basic living costs like rent, groceries, and utilities quickly becoming impossible to manage. Added to that, he has yet to spend one night in his new home as he was supposed to move in last Thursday. Some of his friends rallied together and at least got his belongings moved in so that's one less thing for him to stress about.

While awaiting further testing (which right now is set for a week from now), and having already used up any sick time, financial stress is becoming a very real threat.
