Help Shanu Recover After a Devastating Gas Explosion

On May 14th, our beloved friend Shanu Frongia was critically injured in a horrific gas explosion at his home in Santa Maria ’e Mare, near Orosei (Sardinia). The explosion, caused by a gas leak, left Shanu with severe burns over 50% of his body. He was airlifted in critical condition and placed in the intensive care unit in Sassari, where he remained in a coma for over a week.

Shanu is now awake but facing an incredibly long and painful road to recovery. He will need multiple skin graft surgeries, intensive care, and long-term rehabilitation. The emotional and physical toll is immense—but so is the financial burden.

Shanu is a kind, hardworking man who has always been there for others. Now he needs us. The costs of treatment, hospital stays, medications, and rehabilitation are overwhelming, and his family is struggling to cover them on their own.
