My name is Sarah and I have stage 4 Invasive Urothelial Carcinoma High Grade Bladder Cancer. I went into the ER for stomach pain and I was told my kidneys were functioning at 8%. I was then sent to another hospital via ambulance that could take better care of me. While in the hospital, I was placed on dialysis and had neph tubes placed in my back into my kidneys (I still have these now). While I was there, I was diagnosed on 1/15 after a 13-day hospital stay. It is very rare for someone my age to get this cancer (about 8%). I started chemotherapy on 2/6 to start my fight to beat this. I will need to have my bladder removed and I will get a neobladder.

Since this was so unexpected, this diagnosis has left me unable to work and has impacted me financially, so I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes of taking the financial stress off to focus on my health and treatment.

UPDATE : I am no longer qualified to have surgery a r t this ti mn e and likely will not happen per my recent PET scan. My cancer has spread, but we are trying different medications and radiation to shrink the tumor and get some pain relief as well.
