Meet Sammie, a beautiful and spunky 3-year-old warrior! With a smile that lights up the room and a spirit full of sass and sunshine, she’s already shown the world what true bravery looks like. Last week after following a mom's intuition, Shawna took Sammie to be checked out. After several opinions, a drive down to the children's hospital, and a cat scan, doctors discovered a cancerous tumor had taken over more than 90% of her right kidney.

On Monday, July 7th, this little fighter underwent a successful 7 hour surgery to have it removed. She even needed a blood transfusion — but faced it all with incredible strength and courage.

Doctors are still working on a treatment plan, but one thing is for sure, as Sammie continues her recovery, her family remains by her side at the hospital, facing the emotional and financial challenges that come with such a life changing diagnosis.
