Stand by Ryan: Firefighter in Need

IAFF Local 5203 is seeking donations for our brother in need, Ryan Allgeyer

On Tuesday February 25th, while returning home from his shift, Ryan experienced a catastrophic medical emergency. Ryan is currently placed in ICU listed in critical condition.

Ryan is currently a dedicated firefighter/paramedic and in-charge firefighter for the Central Ohio Joint Fire District (Centerburg, OH). He’s an active member of IAFF Local #5203 where he serves as Treasurer.

Ryan has served communities all across central Ohio over the course of his career. He worked as an ED medic at OSU, a paramedic, EMS supervisor, and director of operations for an EMS agency, paramedic for Madison County Emergency Medical District (London, OH), as a firefighter/paramedic for Minerva Park (Columbus, OH), Central Townships Fire District (London, OH)

Outside of work, Ryan plays guitar and sings vocals in his band, and is an avid outdoor enthusiast engaging in activities of all varieties including snowboarding, climbing, backpacking, and more. He is a strong firefighter mental health advocate and serves on the board of a first responder mental health organization.

Above all, Ryan is a loving and dedicated friend to many and is truly one of the best guys anyone could hope to know. He is fiercely loved by his partner Carolyn, his family, friends, and colleagues. He has a long road ahead of him but if anyone can do it, he can.
