Recently Rich went to the hospital for problems with his stomach. While he was there they did some scans and found a lesion on his kidney. Upon further testing he was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He will need to have this kidney removed so that they can further investigate and determine further treatment. Luckily, they have caught it early but the surgery puts him out of work for a minimum of July and August. During this time Rich and Erika will not have the income coming in to support their mortgage and basic daily needs.
