Renae & Willy are going to kill me for setting this up, but…when one of the strongest, kindest, most amazing people you know ends up in the ICU after multiple emergency surgeries—and her family is quietly holding everything together—you don’t wait to be asked. You just do it.

Renae is a Wildlander through and through—gritty, sharp, hilarious, and tougher than steel. She is usually the one holding everything & everyone together, all the while making us feel safe & giving us a laugh during the worst of it. And Willy? Same blood. Same snarky sense of humor. Same grit.

Right now, they’re working through something no one can prepare for. Renae is on the other side of a CARE Team... She has been in the ICU for over a week after three emergency surgeries for ruptured intestines. She will hopefully be moving to the regular hospital floor on Monday, putting her total stay in the ICU at 10 days (if all goes as planned). The doctor said this morning that it usually takes one week of assisted recovery for every day in the ICU. So her recovery will be long, the pain is real, and the costs are stacking up fast. This isn’t just about hospital bills—it’s about helping Renae, Willy, & Calli breathe while they face the unknown.
