In Loving Memory of Regina Sexton Ngugi

It is with a heavy heart that I share we lost the most beautiful sister, wife, nurse & friend on Sunday May 4, 2025. Regina fought hard the past 3 months but is now completely healed.

Hello, my name is Tiffany and I am coming to you on behalf of my sister, Regina. On January 28th, she fell and broke her C1 in two places. The following week, she became very confused, and her husband Geoffrey took her to the ER. She was admitted to the hospital on February 4th. We found out she had an infection and was in septic shock, and spent 7 days on the ventilator. Due to the sepsis, she was in multi-system organ failure and has been on dialysis. After being moved to the floor last Monday, they started running more tests the following day and found she had ischemic bowel and had to go into emergency surgery on Tuesday, February 18th. She has been back in ICU on the ventilator since then.

Regina has been a nurse for over 30 years and has cared for so many others as if they were her own family. Right now, she has been out of work almost a month, and her husband has had to miss so many days as we have been by her side during these critical 18 days. We know she has a long road ahead for recovery, but she is a fighter and they could really use our help during this time.
