This is Phoenix, she’s a beautiful thoroughbred that was abandoned a few years ago. I took her under my wing and cared for her, making sure that she was getting the proper food and veterinary care. I made sure the farrier was coming out regularly. She has chosen me to be her protector.

Unfortunately, a few days ago, she colicked very badly and needed surgery. It was touch and go for quite a while, with even the vet telling me she probably wasn’t gonna make it. But this tough, fighting girl has pushed through and made it this far.

We are asking for some help because the vet bills are extremely high. I want to thank you in advance for anything you can do for us.
