Stand by Phil and Wendy During Tough Times

Hi everyone, we’re reaching out to support two very special members of our Richmond community: Phil and his wife, Wendy.

Recently, Wendy suffered a stroke and required heart surgery. Her road to recovery will involve extended bedrest and ongoing medical care. During this time, Phil will be by her side, stepping away from work to care for her and their family.

To help ease the financial burden of this unexpected crisis, we’ve created this fundraiser. Donations will go directly toward supporting Phil and Wendy’s household; covering basic living expenses and care for their children while both parents are out of work.

Phil has been a dedicated and compassionate coworker at VCU for the past 22 years; always the first to lend a hand, bring a laugh, or offer his support when others need it. Wendy has been a beloved staff member and leader at Richmond Public Schools, touching countless lives and bringing joy to students every day. They are one of most compassionate and loving couples we know; always willing to lend a helping hand to others without them having to ask.
