Stand by Peggy Through Her Tough Journey
Donation protected
Please keep Peggy Adams Richardson in your prayers as she undergoes surgery tomorrow (April 7) to repair a ruptured patellar tendon after a complication following her knee replacement surgery 3 months ago. Her doctor said it’s rare and attributed to bad luck. Her knee cap is now pointing in the wrong direction. They will have to reopen the incision site and implant a cadaver tendon. There is an increased risk of infection.
The recovery process will be lengthy, requiring her to keep her leg straight and non-weightbearing for a month, followed by an additional 2-3 months of rehabilitation. This is of course made even more difficult given the fact that she will have to depend on her prosthetic leg for support, and her condo is not designed for someone with mobility issues.
Peggy will be out of work for a period of time and will be responsible for even more medical bills and other unexpected expenses.
Although she is extremely proud, she could really use our support during this difficult time. As you all know, Peggy is always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or make you laugh. She is strong and determined and although she helps everyone else, she never asks for help and will be mad at me for doing this.
I would love to be able to help her with some of these expenses so she can focus on getting better and not to have to worry as much. If you are able to contribute - no matter how small - I would appreciate your help.
Best wishes for a full recovery Peg! Sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts your way.
