Stand by Peggy: Facing Cancer Together
Donation protected
May we present a beautiful soul who was just sideswiped by a devastating diagnosis. Margaret "Peggy" Packer spends her retirement volunteering to work with school kids at a Catholic Elementary School. Additionally, Peggy has learned the art of throwing for her fur granddaughter, Lavender, who has quickly become a champion dock diver in a short amount of time with Peggy's techniques. Peggy is the daughter of a papermiller, and she has dedicated her paper-based gift business to the memory of her father, "Peggy's Papermill," at a local vendor's mall.
Peggy is a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend. While living her life to the fullest, she started not feeling well. From a visit to the ER for what was initially thought to be a flu bug, very quickly resulted in a pancreatic cancer diagnosis with metastasis.
Treatment for her condition will require chemotherapy, radiation, and a life-saving Whipple procedure, which can cost upwards of $230,000. Recovery for the Whipple procedure can be long and severe. Her daughter is taking a leave of absence as a teacher to help her during this time.
This GoFundMe will help with living expenses, medical bills, therapy, and the worries that are included in such a diagnosis. Please help us ease a small bit of worry for this beautiful friend and her family while they navigate through this life-altering diagnosis.
