Support Chanda's Move After Truck Theft

Our long-time friend and hairdresser has experienced a series of events that put her and her son, Roman, in danger of homelessness.
I’m Chanda Franklin, a professional hair stylist for over 25 years. Fifteen years ago, I was diagnosed with several chronic health issues and could no longer cut hair for 8-10 consecutive hours a day. Needing more flexibility, I started a mobile hair service. Recently, my truck was stolen. I can’t replace it and have been relying on public transport and ride-share services to reach my clients. A few months ago, my rent went up by $450, and I can no longer afford the apartment. I take on cleaning jobs to earn more money, yet still cannot catch up. I am behind on expenses, must leave my apartment by April 27, and my son Roman and I are facing homelessness.
My friends have set up this GoFundMe page hoping to help me and Roman move to a place with more affordable rent, and to purchase a reliable vehicle. My fundraising goal is $7,000, which I will use for the first month’s rent, deposit, and a car. I never thought I would find myself in this position. While it is difficult to ask for help, Roman and I would be tremendously grateful for your assistance.
