Lerrick Santos, our brother-in-law, is seriously ill and fighting for his life. He was infected with Burkholderia Pseudomallei. He also has TB Meningitis, MRSA Pneumonia and Amebiasis. He is also being treated for COPD. He has been in the hospital since July 27 and is still fighting the bacteria. We don't know exactly how long he has to stay in the hospital but we’re hopeful he can be discharged soon and continue treatment at home. He lost some vision from the Meningitis which is really hard since he already has very little eyesight due to his open angle glaucoma. His brain is cloudy and only time can tell if he will get better. When he does get released from the hospital, he will need 24-hour care and physical therapy. He will need 6 months of medicine for meningitis and oxygen assistance for COPD.

It will also help Oliver focus on providing Lerrick the love and care he needs; help lessen some of the stress and worry about where to get the money they need to pay for the treatment Lerrick needs.
