Stand by Nikole Farrington and Assist Her Recovery

When Nikole started to have vision troubles in her left eye, followed immediately by a brutal migraine, she knew something was very wrong. Her fiancé Rick rushed her to the hospital emergency department. After multiple tests, she was admitted to the hospital for the night. The next morning, she was given the news that she had suffered three TIAs (mini-strokes) and one major stroke. The major stroke occurred in the part of the brain that controls vision—and it has caused her to lose vision in her left eye. The full extent of the damage might not yet be understood; updates will be provided as needed.

While Nikole had been joyfully preparing for her upcoming wedding, she is now facing months of treatment. Much of the damage she suffered may be permanent, but she is going to fight to recover as much of her ability as she is able.
