Stand By Nicole: Medical Support Fund

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my best friend Nicole, who has been facing a series of challenging health issues over the past year. In May 2023, Nicole began experiencing a range of concerning symptoms, which have progressively worsened. It all started with a loss of dexterity in her right hand, which is her dominant hand. Sadly, her hand is now severely atrophied and she isn't able to use it much for everyday things such as writing, applying makeup, or even using a manual can opener or fingernail clippers. Additionally, she suffers from leg weakness, hyperreflexia, an increased startle reflex, fatigue, muscle cramps and twitching, joint pain (especially in her atrophied hand), and overall muscle pain.

Nicole's condition has significantly impacted her daily life and her ability to work. She can no longer maintain the same pace or hours she once could, putting a strain on her finances. Many of you know that she creates custom tumblers, and she is struggling with that now because of her atrophy and weakness. She's unable to easily spray paint, glitter, and epoxy as she used to. Between this and her need to be a good wife and mom and help maintain her household, she is struggling.

Recently, Nicole learned that she needs to travel to Austin to see a specialist who can provide the care she urgently needs. As she prepares for this journey, Nicole is also looking into additional testing and treatments, many of which are not covered by her insurance. Nicole also needs support with everyday living expenses due to her reduced capacity to work.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to help Nicole cover the costs of her specialist visit, additional medical tests, treatments, and daily living expenses. Your contributions will directly support Nicole in her journey towards better health and alleviate the financial burden she is currently facing.
