Stand by Nicky: Cancer Survivor Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Aisha Ray. I am raising donations for my best friend, my sister of 46 years! Her name is Nicole Clemons, but everyone lovingly calls her Nicky. I’m reaching out to all of you during a challenging time in her life, hoping to find support from her family, friends people who linked and love her and her community.

In 2020, Nicky was diagnosed with breast cancer, a journey that tested her strength and resilience. Thanks to incredible medical care and the love of those around her, she is now a proud survivor. A few weeks ago she went for a breast screening and she is cancer free. However, life threw another curveball her way. She was recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis and peripheral neuropathy. These conditions have severely impacted her mobility and ability to work and walk at times. Some days she cannot make it out of bed and needs to rely on muscle relaxants and other medication to make it through the day.

Due to her medical issues, her hours were cut at her full-time job, and she can no longer continue working her second job, which she held for 20 years. This has put her in a precarious financial situation, as she is now facing possible eviction, in jeopardy of losing her car, her only means of transportation to get to work, and has received utility shut-off notices as well.

I am humbly asking for your help to raise $5,000. This amount will help cover essential living expenses, including rent, pay her car note, and utilities, allowing her to focus on her health and recovery without the constant worry of losing my home, car, and livelihood. Any added stress can worsen her condition!

Throughout her life, she has faced significant losses. She lost her beloved mother, whom we all affectionately called Mama Cat, to cancer. Just a month later, she lost her grandmother, Mama Doris. And not long after that, her only sister, Renee, whom we called Nay Nay, passed away as well. Despite these hardships, Nicky has always tried to be the light in others' lives, bringing laughter and joy wherever she go.

She is a jokester at heart, always finding a way to make others smile, even when her own light feels dim. Your support means the world to me and her and will help her regain stability in her life during this difficult time.

Thank you for considering helping Nicky. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings her one step closer to a brighter future. Please share her story with anyone who might be willing to help. Please take this seriously. People have promised to send her money, have claimed to send her money only for her to never receive a dime or pretended not to see the Go Fund Me. People who claim to love her have gone as far as ridiculing and made fun of her needing to start a Go Fund Me. Nicky has a lot of pride and it was very hard getting her t agree. I love my friend and will continue to do what I can to help her in any and every way.

With love and gratitude,

Nicky
