Friends and family,
Last week my sister-in-law, Natalie, was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer.
Natalie will need at least twenty weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy. She will have her chemotherapy port put in this Tuesday, March 12th, and then the chemo will begin.
Natalie has insurance, but she and my brother, Ryan, are music teachers, and they will most likely need to miss many of their lessons and performances. They are worried that they won't be able to pay all of their bills between the missed work and the insurance deductible and co-pays. I am creating this campaign hoping to help them alleviate financial stress.
The money would be used by Ryan and Natalie for food, medical bills, and household expenses. Any money not used would be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or a similar charity.
Any financial help would be appreciated, however small. Positive thoughts and prayers are also appreciated.
Our family is struggling with this news, but we will support Natalie throughout this process, and we are hopeful that the treatment will be both tolerable and effective. I will keep everyone updated on Natalie's progress.
Thank you all for your love and support!
