Hello friends and family! I am raising funds for my Father and Step Mom. A week and a half ago, my Step Mom went to the ER with vertigo symptoms. After being admitted and scanned for an aneurysm, she was admitted to the hospital for further testing. She was put on Valium via IV for 4 days. During those 4 days, her symptoms quickly worsened. She became almost completely incoherent and began having seizures. Family continued asking hospital staff why her legs and arms were shaking and were told it was “normal” and that “she is cold.” After requesting to switch doctors, she was given an EEG, and that is when seizure activity in her brain was found. She was then transferred to the main hospital campus to be assisted by the neurological team. Her oxygen levels drastically dropped, and she was then intubated and on a feeding tube. She has since been taken off the ventilator and is beginning to make a recovery!

Through all of this, my dad, their sole income source, has stopped working and spent every moment by her side. Hospital bills are very expensive, not to mention the cost needed to sustain bills and regular life.
