Hi everyone,

My name is Char'Ves 'Ms. C' Windham, and I’m an elementary school teacher who has always found joy and purpose in helping young students grow and thrive. But on May 3rd, my life was completely turned upside down.

That day, I was hit by a driver who was fleeing from the police. In an instant, my car was totaled and I was left with multiple serious injuries: a broken and fractured rib, a bruised lung, and severe trauma to my back. I’ve been placed on bed rest for 4–6 weeks and am unable to work or move without significant pain.

Being forced to step away from the classroom and my students—something I never imagined—has been heartbreaking. On top of that, the financial burden has become overwhelming. With no income during my recovery, I’m struggling to keep up with essential living expenses like rent, medical bills, and transportation to follow-up appointments.
