Stand by Mikhaila: Leukemia Battle Fund

Hi friends and family!

As many of you now know, our beloved Mikhaila Frasier was diagnosed with Leukemia on Friday, Dec 27th during a routine check up for a headache.

It was a shock to all of us, especially her, and her husband Jakarl, and Angoletta, her mother.

Mikhaila is now resting comfortably and receiving treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, with her husband, kids, and Angoletta by her side. Jakarl is pulling in as many hours as possible to help pay the monthly bills and coming to Moffitt every night to keep Mikki comfortable (and get much needed rest).

Their 4 beautiful children are visiting daily, with the help of Angoletta, who has taken the children in while Mikki is staying at Moffitt.

If you or someone you love has not been through this kind of treatment before, it is an incredibly difficult, painful and strenuous process, with 24/7 chemo-IV treatments as well as a cocktail of other drugs, which does not allow her to work. At this time, she is calling Moffitt Cancer center “home” until she is released. Her doctors are very optimistic for a full recovery, however, as we all know, even when you’re faced with adversity, the bills keep on coming. During this time, the family also has to move apartments, as Mikhaila will not be able to climb the 3 floors where their current apartment is located.

We created this GoFundMe page to help Jakarl and Mikhaila keep up with their monthly bills, and any subsequent medical bills that may come from this.

She is currently working on this to keep her mind busy, and hopefully offer other people in her position the reassurance that they can do it too.
