Hi, my name is Nancy Blasingame, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mike (I call him Michael) McGhee, who is facing a life-threatening cancer diagnosis — without insurance, and with the added burden of potentially losing the small business he built with love and hard work. I am so sorry to send this news to those who know him but did not know what he is facing. This has come on suddenly, and he has very little energy since it started.

Mike is not only fighting cancer, he’s also self-employed, which means there’s no safety net. While most people can take medical leave or rely on employer benefits, he has none of that. His income has come to a standstill, and with mounting medical bills and no insurance, he's facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing everything he's worked so hard to build. The stress of worrying about his health and not being able to take care of his wife, Shellane, financially is an added burden.
