Last November 2024, my wonderful son-in-law, Mike Falgout, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. This past April 7th, Mike was rushed to the hospital having severe back pain and was unable to walk. The myeloma had formed a lesion on his spine and fractured it. The lesion wrapped around his spinal cord and had to be surgically removed. He is unable to stand or walk as a result. Since April, he has stayed at LGMC, Touro in New Orleans, and Cornerstone Physical Rehabilitation. He returns home Tuesday.

To add to their situation, my daughter sustained a terrible fall at the end of April and is still recovering herself. She also needs help for daily care.

I am sincerely asking that if you can, please contribute to Mike’s recovery. Monies raised will go directly to caregiving, medical expenses, medical supplies, and other supplies needed for his daily care.

Mike is a light in our family, always willing to help others before himself. He’s a kind and dear man who loves his wife, daughter, Jennifer, and his grandchildren, Olivia and Mikey.
