Help Miguel Get the Life-Saving Kidney Transplant He Deserves

Hi, my name is Michele, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Miguel — a true warrior who now urgently needs our help.

Miguel has faced more health challenges than most of us could imagine, and yet he continues to push forward with remarkable strength, faith, and hope. In 2021, after years of living with serious medical conditions Miguel's health took a dramatic turn. Doctors discovered a cancerous mass (stage 3) on his left kidney, and he underwent surgery to remove his left kidney. During the screening process for a kidney transplant, Miguel received yet another devastating diagnosis: thyroid cancer. In April 2023, he had his thyroid removed.

As a result, Miguel had to wait two full years to be cancer-free before he could be re-listed for a kidney transplant. In the meantime, his condition worsened. On December 8, 2023, Miguel began dialysis — a physically exhausting and time-consuming treatment he must undergo three days a week just to stay alive. He is now battling Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease, the most advanced stage of kidney failure.

Despite all of this, Miguel continues to work full-time. He remains hopeful and courageous, but he cannot do this alone.

He has recently finished all the testing needed, He is just waiting for the final confirmation to be on the National Kidney transplant list, wish is now his only path to a longer, healthier life. While we pray for the right donor match, the financial burden of this journey has become overwhelming. From ongoing dialysis and medications to hospital visits, transplant surgery, and post-op recovery, the costs are far more than any one person should have to shoulder.
