We are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our sister, Melissa Howard who was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer.

As a devoted single mother, she has always faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and resilience. She’s someone who works hard, cares deeply, and puts others before herself — even now, as she begins this difficult journey.

In addition to navigating her diagnosis and treatment, she is also preparing to send one of her sons off to college this fall while supporting her younger son through his senior year of high school. Her role as a mother continues to be her greatest source of motivation, and she is determined to stay strong for them.

With treatment plans underway, the coming months will involve numerous medical appointments, chemotherapy, and extended time away from work. While she is facing this with courage, the financial impact is significant. Out-of-pocket medical expenses, lost income, and the costs of supporting two children — especially during such pivotal moments in their lives — make this time especially difficult.

We’re asking for help to ease some of that financial burden so she can focus fully on her health and recovery without the added stress of financial strain.
