Stand by Melissa and Her Family's Side

On Thursday, November 14th, our loved Melissa was struck by a vehicle and rushed to the hospital. While there, she has sustained multiple life-threatening and life changing injuries and spent many anxious nights in the ICU. Her husband, Manny, and daughter, Kya, stayed by her side, awaiting news from the doctors about her condition and future.

Melissa has a long road to recovery. She is currently in the ICU, but hopefully, will soon be discharged to a long-term rehabilitation facility, where she will require extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies. While the future remains uncertain, we are staying positive knowing what a fighter she is.

Manny has not only been by Melissa’s side, but is also caring for their children. Liam (7), who is autistic and requires significant support, and Londyn (4), still very young, also needs a lot of attention. We are asking for donations to help Manny manage the household and take care of the kids, allowing him to remain close to Melissa during her recovery. Additionally, we hope to provide assistance for Kya, who lives out of state and may need to travel frequently to be with her mom.

Melissa’s return home is uncertain, and when that time comes, there may be a need for home modifications to accommodate her medical and rehabilitation needs. Any contributions, big or small, will be deeply appreciated as we work to support Melissa and her family through this difficult time.
