We are reaching out with heavy hearts but also with hope, as we face an incredibly difficult time. Our sweet daughter, McKenna, has been fighting since the very beginning. When she was just 8 days old, I had to rush her to the hospital because she was turning blue. It was in that terrifying moment that we learned that our baby girl has a rare and serious heart condition. Since then, we have been working closely with multiple cardiologists, monitoring her heart and well beinging and hoping for the best.

Originally, we were planning for McKenna to have her surgery closer to the end of the school year. However, I recently received a call stating that we need to make arrangements to have this surgery done by the end of this month. Friday, February 14th, will be when we officially receive the surgery date for this month. After talking with the doctors and surgical teams, it is clear that McKenna is going to need the biggest support system possible as she undergoes this life-saving procedure. If you can help us give that to her, we would be forever grateful.

While we do have insurance, there is still a deductible that we have to meet, and with this being said, having to take off work is going to cause a financial burden on both myself and Josh. We want to be there for McKenna every step of the way, but at the same time, we don’t want our bills to fall behind. We all know in today’s economy, it takes twice as much—if not more—to make ends meet, and unfortunately, we were praying we would have more time to save up for this. However, it is looking like we won’t have that time.

If you are able to donate, we would be forever grateful. Every single dollar will go toward McKenna’s medical expenses and helping us stay on our feet while we care for her. If you are not in a position to give, we completely understand—we only ask that you keep McKenna in your prayers every night before you go to bed. We are also praying for the doctors who will be operating on our little girl, asking for a smooth and successful surgery and a fast recovery.
