Stand By Maurice in his fight through Surgeries and Recovery

On Thursday, April 10th, 2025, Maurice and Karol's families' day changed in a way no one's ever should.

Maurice woke up and went to work like a normal weekday, and then he was run over by an asphalt truck. When Karol got the call, she was in Nashville at a conference for her business. She was only told that it was bad and to get her stuff together and head towards home. Maurice was life-flighted to a trauma hospital in Georgia, 3 hours from their home. Maurice's left leg and ankle had compound fractures, and the skin and muscle had been shredded. Maurice was sent immediately to surgery to try and repair the arteries in his foot so there was a chance to save him from an amputation from the knee down.

Maurice is going to need multiple surgeries to repair and hopefully get him back close to where he was on the morning of the accident!

I know Maurice, his wife Karol, and son Ashton are preparing not only to face an emotional toll but also significant financial challenges as he takes on this uncertain journey. From the medical expenses that await to essential home and vehicle modifications needed to support a new reality, the costs are expected to be substantial.
