Stand by Matt and Samantha in Crisis
Donation protected
In the last month, Matt has had countless ER trips, scans, & tests were being ran but could not get any answers.
Last week, Matt's long battle of epilepsy took over his body, causing multiple seizures which resulted in a severe fall. Once he arrived to the local hospital, they found fractures in his back, and he was transferred by ambulance to Mercy in OKC, where he is still currently admitted.
They have confirmed that Matt has osteoporosis due to long term use of his medication- Dilantin, and have confirmed there are in fact 7 fractures in his back, and he is patiently awaiting his first of many procedures to start cementing his back.
This is going to be a long and expensive road for him & Samantha as he will be moved to a Rehabilitation Center after his first surgery to regain his strength and become mobile again.
Between the travel costs, medical bills, and everyday expenses- this has taken a huge toll on these two, as neither are able to work now that Samantha is the main caregiver.
If you cannot donate, we ask for all of the prayers to be sent to Matt & his family during this time.
If you know Matt, you know he's so ready to be healed & back on his feet. He is so appreciative of everyone who has reached out to check on them, sent prayers & love, and helped in any way possible.
Words of wisdom from Matt himself-
"If you have loved ones on Dilantin, please make sure they are reading any and all side effects of long term use, and get the bone density scans."
