Our warrior Mateo was admitted to Children's on the morning of December 14, 2024 after his parents couldn't get him to respond.

He underwent a procedure to drain the accumulation of fluids in the brain and give him some relief.

Unfortunately, the next day Mateo could not breathe on his own and had to be put on a ventilator. His brain started to swell up and he has received multiple blood and platelet transfusions.

On Monday, he had a scan that revealed a brain bleed and that the tumor is growing into his neck.
