Stand by Marvin: Wrongly Jailed Husband
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michelle.
This isn’t easy for me to write, but it’s something I’ve thought about for a while. I’ve been holding back—wondering what people would say or think, and especially how this could affect our four children. But this is where we are now.
My husband Marvin was recently arrested and jailed for a crime he did not commit—one he had no knowledge of until recently and still doesn’t fully understand. If you know Marvin, you know he’s a laid-back, hardworking man who has always focused on providing for his family and breaking cycles, not repeating them. He’s never wanted anything more than to be a present and loving father.
This situation has turned our lives upside down.
Legal fees are extremely high, and I’m struggling to even get a lawyer to look into his case without a large upfront payment. I've reached out to every resource I can think of and have come up empty-handed.
To make matters worse, our landlord has decided to sell the home we’re living in. We have to move by July 31st, and I’m expected to continue paying rent while also trying to find and fund a new place for me and the kids.
It’s overwhelming. But I’m trying to stay strong for our children—and for Marvin.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for help. If you're a friend, family member, or even someone who just feels moved to give—any amount helps. And if you can’t give financially, please keep us in your prayers, especially Marvin. He’s struggling to process everything, and we all just want to see him come home.
Thank you in advance for your love, support, and kindness.
