Hello everyone, I am so very sorry about this inconvenience however, later in the evening I was made aware that the service times have changed. The funeral home double booked our priest for our original time and there are no other priest available to fill in. Since this is all short notice we have decided to continue with the service and the get together at La Romas following the service but times have been pushed up. The visitation will start at 1:30pm and the church service will begin at 2:30pm. Once that is completed please join us at La Romas for a gathering.

Update-

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Mariano Alonso, who left us on March 5, 2025, at 11:39 PM. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family, just as he would have wanted.

Mariano was full of life—outgoing, loud, and a man of immense character. Those who knew him understood that he would never want to live in a state where he was unable to be himself. After being on a ventilator with irreversible damage, we made the difficult but loving decision to honor his wishes and let him go in peace.

At this time, we are in the process of arranging a funeral service, which will take place in Pennsylvania in April. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, we are unable to hold the service any sooner.

We are asking for support to help give Mariano the farewell he deserves. Any contributions will go directly toward covering funeral expenses. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.

Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

* I will share the fundraiser each time there is an update regarding services. *

On Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, my father, Mariano Alonso, suffered a heart attack around 10 PM. I was with him when it happened. I did everything I could—I started CPR the moment I lost his pulse. The paramedics were able to revive him, and he is now in the neurological ICU. While he is off sedation, he remains on a ventilator and is unable to follow basic commands. There are so many unanswered questions, so many fears, and so many what-ifs.

I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help, but right now, I have no choice. If you love my father, care for him, or even just want to support those who are struggling through this, I humbly ask for your help. He does not have insurance, and the potential financial toll is already overwhelming. On top of that, I have taken a leave from work to be by his side, and my brother has traveled from out of state, missing work to be here with us. Dad and I were barely scraping by before this happened, and now, we are facing an unimaginable hardship.

My dad is my rock, my best friend, my hero. Things look grim, but I refuse to give up hope. Our faith and love is the only things keeping us going. If you are able to donate, know that every dollar will go towards making sure my father gets the care he needs and keeping us afloat. Even if you can’t donate, your prayers, love, and support mean everything to us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I will continue to share updates as we navigate this nightmare, holding on to any shred of hope we can find.
