Meet Malia, our sweet and joyful baby girl who just celebrated her very first birthday last year. She’s full of light, laughter, and love — but behind her beautiful smile is a battle no child should have to face.

Malia was recently diagnosed with Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects many parts of the body, especially the heart. On April 28, 2025, she underwent open-heart surgery — a moment that shook our world and tested every ounce of our strength as a family.

Through it all, Malia has been incredibly brave. Her recovery has been nothing short of a miracle, but this journey is far from over.

As her parents, we’ve done everything we can to stay strong for her — including driving over two hours each way for her specialist appointments and follow-up care. The emotional and financial toll has been heavy: time away from work, gas, meals, parking, and medical expenses have added up quickly. But for Malia, we would do it all again in a heartbeat.
