Hi, my name is Rachel. The man in the Team Canada hockey jersey is my father, Larry, who I love unconditionally. My dad Larry is a kind and wonderful guy. This man would go to the ends of the earth for anyone whether it would be a family member or a complete stranger he would give anything he could. Unfortunately, on July 5, 2025, he was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. This was a huge shock for him and his family as well. Today, he started his journey to kick this cancer’s ass. Today started all of the doctor's appointments, tests, and the insane cost of everything. Because of the chemotherapy, radiation, and possibly surgery, he will have to miss almost 6 months of work. Anything that you can give will help go to the costs of helping him pay for the cost of all of his cancer treatments, towards bills, and general life expenses. Good luck, Dad, on this chaotic journey to beat cancer!
Update: thankfully we just recently got some good news that the cancer has not spread to any other more concerning areas. His treatment starts on 6 August. We as a family are thankful that any positive news that we get is a step towards him beating cancer. I want to think all the people who have donated so far to help my father cover the crazy cost of this journey. Anyone else looking to donate any little bit will help go a long way. Any donation made will go towards cost of his treatment any bills he might get in any other basic necessity.
